The first article you mention I'll discuss later this week when we look at the Millennium Villages in depth. The author of the last piece, William Easterly, is of course a famous aid critic and I'll be looking at a book of his, <em>White Man's Burden</em>, in a few weeks too. Finally, I would say it's worth reading the commments on the fourth link as well as the post itself.
