					<description>Many thanks for this well-balanced and extensive blog post! I have been following Sachs closely being inspired by his great "End  of Poverty". 

Working with a development project in Mali I learned how thin the line is between doing something good and creating an aid dependency. I learned the hard way that a project can only be sustainable when it's driven by locals.
