Traditional thinking sees economics and peace process as unrelated, eg UN, Bretton Woods not working together
Traditional thinking: growth auto brings peace without actually planning for peace, peace theory shouldn't interfere with growth plans
In practise this means money allocated to peace efforts and efforts for "distributive equity" at least as important as growth
No market process encourages maintenance of natural capital for good of all.
--> calls for independence of economic decision making, eg central bank.
Democratization not included in structural adjustment, but needs to be.
Democratization can fulfill aims of economic-class isolation, by ensuring that economics carried out in interests of all.
"Peace conditions" should be placed on aid and on internal spending
